One Whole Year of TimberMane The Blog

One whole year ago this very website was launched, which means I have been releasing a blog every week for one revolution of the sun.

A huge achievement for me as my consistency can wander a bit and my mind will lead me down roads of procrastination, which I have to fight with all my strength!

Having this outlet has helped me a great deal, putting fingers to keys about topics I feel strongly about or just find amusing has been a highlight. Hearing what you readers have to say about it also brightens my world.

The facet that we’ve started to grow a great community off the back of it is incredible and I’m excited to see where it goes.

I still have a lot to write about, I have a huge list on my phone with all the topics that have come into my mind at random times, which is usually while driving.

Some I’ve had saved up since the start, they require me to be better at writing in order to do them justice, so I have them waiting in the wings ready for when I’m confident I have the skills to put them out there.

For a laugh I asked AI to summarise my website:

Timbermane.co.uk is a personal lifestyle and blogging website focused on fatherhood, family life, men’s mental health, travel, outdoor adventures, and beer culture. The site is written from the perspective of a husband, father, and outdoor enthusiast who shares real-life experiences, reflections, and personal stories.

The website uses a friendly, honest, and conversational style, aimed primarily at:

  • Fathers and family-oriented readers
  • Men interested in mental wellbeing
  • Outdoor enthusiasts and travellers
  • Readers who enjoy authentic personal storytelling rather than corporate content

I reckon Skynet are pretty much spot on, I’m very pleased that it picked up on the lack of corporate content. One of the other reasons for this blog was I felt I couldn’t get away with certain things in my business blog and felt I needed the outlet to talk about things that meant a lot to me!

I’ve waffled on for far to long now, only one thing left to say and that is a huge THANK YOU! Thank you from the core of my being for reading my badly punctuated musings for a whole year, supporting me, giving me feedback and most importantly, sharing it on your social medias, with your friends and with your families. You wouldn’t believe how much that helps me!

So, please keep checking the website for new posts and sharing with your friends.

In the future you can expect some content based around:

  • Budgy Smugglers
  • James Bond
  • Travel destinations
  • Camping trips
  • Crazy Challenges

Thank you gain, it means the world.

Take it easy!

Congratulations on one year of posting, Adam! I’m a little disappointed that there is still no clear plan for future posts about beard care, advanced flannel maintenance or how to look thoughtfully into the middle distance while holding a piece of reclaimed timber, but I suppose the woodworking content has to be on your professional website!

Seriously though, brilliant work. A whole year of useful, interesting and genuinely well-written posts is no small thing. Here’s to year two of Timbermane, may the sawdust be plentiful and the blog ideas keep flowing.
