I guess I was late to the party, first child at 37 and I wish I’d done it sooner but that’s life. My wife and I got together towards the end of 2020 and I’d never met a woman I wanted kids with until I met her, and I definitely made the right choice, she’s an incredible mum!
I love being a dad, my daughter is the best and so much fun. An adrenaline junkie which I support fully, I may regret this but I want her to be confident and live with few regrets. I’m also hoping she’ll take me with her!
Theres no secret, it’s hard and sometimes you just don’t want to do the Dad stuff, but when I get home from work and she’s standing in the window going: “DADDY! DADDY! DADDY! DADDY!” beaming from ear to ear and runs and gives me a cuddle, it’s all worth it! I say cuddle but what she really wants is me to throw her in the air!
