Before the Beers Kick In… I Hope You All Have a Bloody Nice Time

Normally my blogs go out on a Thursday, but as tomorrow is the big day, I’ve decided to publish it today. It saves me all the faff that goes into sharing it on all the social media’s while I’m trying to enjoy festive beers! It also lets you wonderful people enjoy my random ramblings a little earlier.

I’ll keep this one short. I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to every single person who has visited the site and read my blogs. Even if you clicked… then immediately clicked off, thank you. Every visit helps.

I started this six months ago as a bit of therapy, a way to process the loss of our baby girl. Since then, I’ve published a blog every week. Some have landed better than others, but if even one person reads something and enjoys it, or takes a little something from it, then that’s a win in my book.

I love Christmas. I hate the hype and the commercial madness that comes with it, but I really do love Christmas. I sometimes wish it were a bit different. I wish we didn’t feel pressured to spend a fortune. I wish each other’s company and good wishes were enough… but sadly, that doesn’t quite keep the capitalist wheels turning, does it?

What I do love is how it brings people together… Family, friends, colleagues. The get-togethers, the laughs, the shared moments, and the new memories made. Years ago, I asked a very wise fella what he wanted for Christmas. His answer has stuck with me ever since:

“A nice time, that’s all I want.”

And really, that’s all any of us should want.

So switch off the laptops and work phones. Crack open a cold one. And have a bloody NICE TIME. That’s exactly what I’ll be doing.

Thank you again for all the support over the past six months. I’ll be taking a couple of weeks off, but I’m excited for the new year and what it’ll bring. If you don’t already, give me a follow on the socials and share it with your mates, you never know who might need a laugh or a Thursday read.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and as always…
Take it easy.
