Why Does Your Cat Need a Pram? – Your Pet Is Not a Human

This weekend whilst sat on a train, I saw a cat, wearing a hat, sat in a pram, being fed yogurt…
“The things you see when you don’t have your gun.”
But then this was London, so probably nothing too out of the ordinary, I mean, I’ve already written a blog about a bloke who just unloaded facts for the entire duration of our train journey, so I shouldn’t be surprised…
Live and let live and all that but this tube was PACKED, and this pram was taking up valuable space. By choosing a pram you are instantly at least quadrupling the amount of square footage this feline creature requires.
I watched in amazement as this cat’s pet human played with it whilst this Jubilee train hurtled through subterranean London – yes I said that right… My wife has a cat, and I am one hundred percent aware that they own the humans. I am also aware that I said that my wife has a cat and not me, I am not a fan of cats, this is probably obvious as I have written at least 3 blogs about our dog and zero about the blood thirsty killer we share the house with.
Anyway, I’m letting this blog get away from itself…
The cat isn’t really the issue, I’m sure he was having a lovely day out, enjoying his cat yogurt, showing off his hat and wondering why all the peasants around him had to stand while he had his own chariot.
This got me thinking, when did we start treating our pets like actual humans?
I love Woody, I really do, he goes on holiday with us, goes to the pub, is allowed on the settee on occasion and probably has a better quality of life than a large proportion of the globe!
But he is still a dog!

I have to remind my wife of this when she sit’s somewhere else when he is sat somewhere she wants to sit.
The phrase “You know you own him right!? And not the other way around!?” often leaves my lips.
He has multiple beds and is perfectly happy on the floor!
I completely understand that some animals are old, disabled or unable to walk and a pram allows them to get out and about, but how frequently do you see some Chiwawa being carried around in a handbag or pushed around a garden centre like he’s some sort of prince!?
This is all probably controversial, maybe I’m just ratty because I had to stand while someone’s hair was in my face and the whole time this cat was sitting in Business class!!
I could go on, but I won’t because I don’t like to be controversial on here, so I thank you for allowing me to rant, I feel much better.
Take it easy.
